In preparing the definitive expanded remaster of âThe Autumn Stoneâ album, a tape was discovered containing the unissued mono single mix.
Pressed on âAutumn Goldâ vinyl and strictly limited to 3,000 copies worldwide, the single is issued under the unused original Immediate catalogue number IM083 with âMe You And Us Tooâ, an early version of âWham Bam Thank You Mamâ (the original intended B-side). A full colour picture sleeve reproduces Gered Mankowitzâs original artwork and photos.
Originally planned as a single in 1968, the mono mix of Steve Marriottâs âThe Autumn Stoneâ was never released due to Immediate label boss Andrew Loog Oldham's dislike of the song (the title of which he later used for the final Small Faces album!).
