STATIC-X 'CANNIBAL' LP (Expanded, Blood & Bronze Splatter Vinyl)
LABEL: Real Gone Music
RELEASE DATE: 03/06/2026
VARIANT: Expanded, Blood & Bronze Splatter Vinyl LP
With a title like Cannibal, itâs no surprise that this 2007 album presents Static X at its most, er, bloodthirsty. Lead singer Wayne Static put it plainly: âI think it's the most metal record we've ever made, and it's arguably the heaviest record we've ever made.â Cannibal is the first Static X record to have numerous guitar solos, which herald the return of founding guitarist Koichi Fukuda; and the change in producers (from Ulrich Wild to John Travis) no doubt played a role in the bandâs shift back to the more intense sound they premiered with Wisconsin Death Trip. The record went Top 40, and âNo Submissionâ wound up on the Saw 3 soundtrack. In short, a return to form after the chaotic personnel and stylistic changes of Start a War. Cannibal is here given its first-ever vinyl reissue with a bonus track (âLight It Upâ). Blood and bronze splatter pressing inside a gatefold jacket!
