Swedish mysterios Ghost perfected their satanic triumvirate of Seventies stadium rock, classic heavy metal and evil pop melodies on 2015’s Meliora, Papa and the Ghouls’ third full-length offering. Living up to its English translation (“better”), the album is perhaps best represented by its three infectious singles: the bass-heavy stomp of “From the Pinnacle to the Pit,” the rumbling tension of “Cirice” and the haunting elegance of “Majesty.” Elsewhere, greed anthem “Mummy Dust” and orchestral Luciferian ode “He Is” seal the infernal deal.
